A made-to-measure solution for an oversized entranceway

On a building as unique and eye-catching as this, it was important to keep in mind our commitment to creating doors that work flawlessly as well as looking the part. Aesthetics were clearly a big consideration here, but they can never come at the expense of performance. At Deuren, that’s a given.

Our first job was to reassure the client that their complex requirement simply wasn’t an issue for us: we actively embrace the chance to work on complex and challenging briefs. Thanks to our design expertise and technological resources, we can plan and manufacture bespoke doors in any dimensions, easily accommodating this particular client’s wishes.

Next, we consulted closely with the homeowner before getting to work on creating an oversized entranceway, carefully bespoke to completely suit the very specific style and dimensions of the area available to us. A single-leaf external door from our collection answered the brief perfectly, finished in understated dark grey to really help accentuate the warm, natural wood tones featured elsewhere in the home’s frontage. The door itself is flanked on either side by a door-sized panel in matching dark grey, each with an almost full-length vertical glass panel to allow natural light into the hallway behind.

We’re always keen to work with clients who’ve struggled to find what they’re looking for.  It gives us the opportunity to think creatively, devising ingenious and innovative one-offs that really showcase our unique expertise when it comes to bespoke doors.

“We were beginning to give up on the idea of having the front door we really wanted, but Deuren’s confidence quickly won us over. In the end, it’s fair to say the entranceway they created has exceeded our expectations in every way.  It’s stylish, practical and lets in the light, just how we hoped it would, and it perfectly suits the rest of our home.  We can’t fault it, and we can’t fault Deuren’s whole approach to customer service either.”
