Achieving flexibility in terms of size and configuration

For this grand and striking home our self-builder client wanted equally impressive doors, but flexibility in terms of size and configuration was a crucial requirement. 

Unsurprisingly, the builder of this unusual property wanted anything but off-the-shelf doors.  Instead, a number of different bespoke types and styles were required in order to continue the contemporary aesthetic while supporting the concept of variety and interest.

In line with our devotion to offering a bespoke service in the truest sense of the word, we welcome every opportunity to design and craft different unique doors for installation into a single property. In this case, we worked exceptionally closely with the client to really understand his needs, both in terms of design and functionality.  Good looks alone are never enough at Deuren – we want every door to fit and perform flawlessly within its space.

Vario 4 doors in a beautiful walnut finish were chosen for their harmonious match with this modern property’s overall look and feel. To meet the wishes of the client, we produced two different configurations.  First up was a more conventional hinged configuration, albeit using our rather special precision-made hardware to elevate the doors well above the ordinary. Secondly, we designed and crafted a beautiful sliding Vario 4, which opens and closes with satisfyingly minimal effort or sound.

Elsewhere in the home, also in walnut, we designed a beautiful Trem Glass door with an adjacent glass panel – the glass cleverly extending right to the floor in each section.  As well as managing to offer an element of surprise along with stunning good looks, these large, glazed panels allow through generous amounts of light, adding the interior’s overall appeal.

Ultimately, we’ve delivered on our promise to create a bespoke door solution that’s expertly tailored to the needs of the client and his unique property. Our mix of hard-earned experience and bold creativity has done it again, leaving the client delighted.
