Replacement doors to complement existing furnishings
Our client’s stunning home is full of beautiful features and carefully curated art, so he wanted new internal doors that would perfectly complement the existing aesthetic, elevating the home’s overall sense of taste and style. The doors also needed to offer a high degree of fire resistance.
Unlike extensions and new builds, this particular project required the removal of existing doors and their replacement with our new ones. Because of this, installation needed to be as meticulous and mess-free as possible to help eliminate the need for any redecoration.
Creating doors that perfectly complement their surroundings is second nature to us. Even by our standards though, this project needed exceptional attention to stylistic detail, since design and artistry are such prominent features of this home. American Walnut was a clear contender in terms of finish, so we suggested it to the client, who happily agreed. There’s a lovely grain and warmth in this dark wood finish, but it’s never overpowering. This makes it an excellent choice for spaces where gorgeous art and furniture also compete for attention.
The Vario 3 style was used to beautiful effect here, while a set of fabulous Gio glazed double doors allows in plenty of natural light to illuminate the ground floor interior, helping the presentation of its artworks. The choice of these two styles reflects our ability to recommend exactly the right products to suit their surroundings and purpose, always with a view to delivering that elusive sweet spot where design and performance meet.
On a practical level, the doors we supplied are rated to FD30 for their fire resistance, providing extra peace of mind. Meanwhile, the installation was performed expertly by our skilled team, with every door precisely hung for perfect operation. We also made each door to measure, so that its trim overlapped that of its predecessor, concealing any unsightly marks left on the walls. Remarkably, this meant no redecoration was needed once the installation was complete.
