Effectively using veneer for the best impact

For this selection of bespoke internal doors we were tasked with designing, crafting and installing products that would offer the very highest level of workmanship coupled with breathtaking good looks. Our client wanted wow-factor, simple as that.

It was clear that ordinary-looking doors just wouldn’t cut the mustard in this stunning home, no matter how well they performed.  Instead, our client wanted doors whose finish would complement his home’s gorgeous natural flooring as well as having real stand-out of their own.  We knew that a careful choice of finish would be the perfect way to achieve this goal.  Thankfully, the brief was very clear in one crucial regard: this was a project with no expense spared.

At our workshop in West Yorkshire, we created a combination of single and double-leaf Gio doors, each one built to the same exacting standards we’ve made our name on.  The doors’ design is appropriately sleek, clean and contemporary, while the double door features an unusual overhead transom for added visual impact.  All of the doors were painstakingly finished using a stunning rosewood veneer – an undeniably beautiful product whose rarity is reflected in its price.   

Rich and warming red hues work perfectly with the veneer’s striking organic grain pattern, each door’s pattern being subtly different from the last.  The effect is charming and compelling in equal measure, lending every door a sense of uniqueness and individuality, rather like a human fingerprint. The overall tones of these doors complement the slightly darker flooring around each door, while simple, discreet handles help accentuate the stylishness and complexity of the veneer itself.
