External doors performing faultlessly year after year
In Ilkley, West Yorkshire, our client wanted a bespoke front door and two matching garage doors that wouldn’t just perform faultlessly year after year – they needed to have considerable kerb appeal achieved through stunning good looks.
Every project we ever complete has its own unique considerations to factor in, and this one was no exception. As well as visually complementing this home’s breathtaking glass façade, the new doors needed to work well with their beautiful natural surroundings. The client’s home is situated in wonderful Yorkshire countryside, and any design that clashed with, or detracted from, the overall scene was certainly out of the question.
Working closely with the client we helped narrow the selection by a process of elimination, arriving at the final choice – matching front and garage doors in our Toba style with Peco Grigio finish. Although hard to discern in our photographs, this finish provides a beautiful golden tint, subtly but unmistakably visible in natural daylight when witnessed in person. This element produces a unique and captivating finish, which, when paired with the doors’ lined machined pattern, creates a truly exceptional door set.
On a practical level, all the doors were made and installed to our famously exacting standards for smooth, satisfying and trouble-free performance. The two garage doors use a well-proven overhead sectional design featuring four panels each, while the entrance door features an appropriately simple yet beautiful elongated Facet handle by Philip Watts. Flawless functionality is amply taken care of by ultra-reliable precision-made hinges and lock.
Overall, we delivered exactly what the client had asked for. Our solution easily ticks every box in terms of functionality, while offering breathtaking aesthetics even from a distance. Bespoke in the truest sense of the word, and a great example of our dedication to design and unswerving pursuit of perfection.
