Sophisticated style to transform a home’s facade
As with many of clients, this one wanted an impactful entrance that wouldn’t merely look great; it would also help bring natural light into the home’s interior space. Luckily for them, our expertise extends well beyond just the door itself, and we were able to envision and design an entire doorway which perfectly answered the brief.
We started with the door itself, consulting with the client and settling ultimately upon our Tavole front door in honey oak finish whose orangey-golden tones provide a delightful marriage with the home’s surrounding red brickwork. The door’s surface features a bold and irregular patterned design; an eye-catching statement which adds instant visual interest and uniqueness. Meanwhile, a LittleJohn handle by Philip Watts completes the door in striking style, its wonderfully elongated and tapered organic shape lending it a tactile quality enhanced by the handle’s satin finish.
To address the issue of natural light, we designed and installed a pair of glazed laterals, simple in style but in this respect the perfect foil for a door that exudes such a wealth of character and detail, uniting the entire doorway, making this a cohesive and contemporary corner of our client’s impressive property.
All in all, this is a masterpiece of bespoke door-making, even if we say so ourselves. No matter how small, every last detail has been carefully thought through in the relentless pursuit of perfection which characterises all of our work. Even practical considerations have been more than met, since this door scores well on those less obvious criteria like security and thermal performance.
‘We knew that Deuren had the creativity to come up with something really special for our doorway, but we still underestimated just how thrilled we’d be with the end result. Even though our brief had plenty of requirements, the finished doorway manages to deliver on everything, from looks and styling through to letting in more light. We can’t praise the team highly enough.”
