A bespoke design for show stopping leather internal doors

This project required doors that offered the perfect blend of form and function, which is exactly what we do.  Unusually, the scale and totality of the renovation meant the client had more than typical flexibility and was able to brief in each door without any restrictions imposed by the space. In terms of presenting an opportunity to really demonstrate our creativity, it was a dream come true.

Uniqueness and wow factor were much in demand for this project, and a visit to our showroom had inspired the client to opt for the inventive use of leather. Firstly, we created a collection of single leather doors and veneer smoked eucalyptus doors in our stylish Uccio design.  We produced double doors in leather too, but this time using slimmer-than-usual doors in order to accommodate a pair where one would normally have sufficed. 

We also created an impressive double door in smoked eucalyptus with solid Philp Watts handles, along with a bespoke ‘angled’ Gio pocket door, whose top edge was precisely aligned with the angle of the ceiling above. Another stunning bespoke door was created from an existing table bench, specifically at the client’s request.  The original bench had been custom made from resin by an artist much admired by the client, who was keen to repurpose it in the form of a unique and stylish door. 

In this exceptionally wide-reaching renovation, even the door handles were carefully customised by us, using crocodile skin to cover them along with contrast stitching throughout.  The end result is as bespoke as it is jaw-dropping. Overall, a fantastic project, every bit as rewarding to complete as it was challenging. The highlight for us was our work with resin, which has opened up exciting new possibilities we’re looking forward to sharing with future clients.
