Floor-to-ceiling doors for maximum impact
Our client wanted a total of eight beautiful bespoke internal doors to complete a property characterised by stylish simplicity. A bathroom and kitchen door were among those required, and all the doors needed to match the extremely high standard of finish on show throughout this gorgeous home.
Attention to detail is second nature at Deuren, and it was very much an essential requirement of this particular project. Nothing new there, since most of our clients have chosen us partly because of our renowned commitment to the pursuit of perfection. What made this project different was the client’s desire for floor-to-ceiling doors: a less common choice but a good one for creating an impression of spaciousness, provided it’s done right. If floor-to-ceiling doors aren’t designed and fitted carefully, the effect can be unsettling, looking rather odd and unfinished.
Where the client had struggled to find a manufacturer who he felt confident could meet his brief, we stepped right up. We designed, crafted and carefully installed all eight of his floor-to-ceiling doors, employing a combination of painted finishes and intelligent use of frosted glazing.
For the bathroom, a bespoke 2.5m tall Trem glazed door offers both privacy and light as well as looking stunning. Meanwhile, the kitchen now features a stunning full-height pocket door which retracts effortlessly into its precision engineered recess. This statement piece is certainly a talking point, helping to elevate the space even beyond it’s already impressive impact.
Overall, this was a satisfying project typical of our work, not so much because we met a challenge others were reluctant to take on: more just because this job epitomises our devotion to giving clients exactly what they want, whatever that happens to be. From unusual or oversized doors to ones with unorthodox finishes or complex configurations, bespoke for us is about starting right from scratch and creating beautiful luxury doors every bit as unique as their owners.
