Using natural oak to create a client's dream finish

As with so many of our projects, first impressions and ‘kerb appeal’ were paramount in this project.  Our client wanted a new garage and front door that wouldn’t just match each other: they were required to play a significant part in this impressive home’s overall wow factor, helping to elevate its appearance through a powerful combination of stylish good looks and genuine originality. The kind of originality only a truly bespoke solution can deliver.

After hosting our client and showing them our collections, together we identified our beautiful Versare door as the model which would deliver the impact required by the brief.  Although pleasantly understated, this style’s simple geometric lined pattern adds visual interest and also made an excellent match for the home’s wider façade. There’s a gorgeous grain in the natural oak finish, while warm orangey tones hit a satisfying sweet spot midway between light and dark.  Using this finish for both the garage and main entrance door helps nicely tie together that entire side of the house, making for a calming and coherent whole.

As for the configuration of the entrance door itself, we designed and manufactured a single-leaf door with light-giving panels of glass either side, topped by a simple transom.  The overall impression is one of simple sophistication and airy modernity, perfectly in keeping with the personality of the rest of the property.  Impressive, but never imposing.

“Our house is certainly different and interesting, so we wanted all the doors of its frontage to really do justice to this, adding to its kerb appeal while still performing perfectly. Deuren’s solution proved that they’d really listened to us, offering us form and function in equal measure.  On top of that, the project went impressively smoothly.  Overall, fantastic work!”
